The manor house at Quinta da Lapa dates from the 18th century. In 2011 it added a new page to its three hundred year history by opening its doors to the public.

We’ve decided to create a high-standard wine tourism experience by bringing this unique architectural compound back to life. Today, this magnificent, timeless estate shines anew after undergoing extensive restoration works.

The vast dependencies surrounding the inner courtyard were converted into eleven suites, decorated with near-spartan refinement. A captivating and unique atmosphere, a classical architectural structure dotted with purist modernity and hints of eccentricity where nothing is random and everything has purpose.

The spacious and comfortable social areas are highlighted by precious decorative features such as the magnificent Murano chandeliers, the porcelain and faience collections or the Indo-Portuguese antique furniture.

At the great dining room, by the chapel, guests can enjoy a plentiful breakfast table of excellent local products, seasonal fruit and juices as well freshly baked bread from the region.

In the social areas, spacious and welcoming, stand out precious decorative details such as the magnificent Murano chandeliers, collections of faience and porcelain, or Indo-Portuguese pieces.
